Wyatt lawson
Born in Chicago, raised in Taos, and now currently residing in Albuquerque, Wyatt Lawson grew up with a deep appreciation for the arts. Having first fell in love with graffiti and it’s culture, Wyatt has carried his love for complimentary color palettes and outlines over to his fine art canvas paintings. Having found his style in the shapes he creates, Wyatt then uses colors to express different motifs within his work, which are then cleaned up with precise line work. The colors he uses are often heavily inspired by the colors found in the high desert, as well as culturally identifiable palettes within the New Mexican culture. His primary medium is acrylic paint on stretched canvas, although he especially enjoys mural work that boldly displays his designs to the public eye. Not only has Wyatt’s work been featured in multiple galleries in New Mexico, Wyatt Lawson has also found a successful niche in music production and DJing, working closely with New Mexico United, as well as Meow Wolf and other production companies within New Mexico. He has also received training at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, attending the Early College Program in 2010, where he studied “Drawing the Urban Landscape”.
